Steve Sparks

Steve Sparks is the Director, Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Programs with more than 24 years experience working in the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC).  Before becoming the Director, SETA Programs, Mr. Sparks  was the Acquisition Program Manager responsible for the pre-award and post-award tasks of 22 multi-million dollar contracts. Mr. Sparks is retired from the United States Navy, where he served as a Program Manager managing million dollar training and promotion programs.  Mr. Sparks also served as an Assistant Presidential Communications Officer directly supporting the Office of the President of the United States, and as a Mission Manager and Language Analyst responsible for establishing mission tasking and collection protocols in response to situations initiated by world events.

Mr. Sparks holds a Bachelor’s degree  in World Studies with a Focus on Languages and a minor in Business.  He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Mr Sparks resides with his wife and daughter in Columbia, MD.
