Intro to CMMI – Dev.

This is the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) official Introduction to the CMMI® v1.2 course and is taught by a SEI-certified instructor. This three-day course introduces participants to CMMI fundamental concepts using the CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV).  The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to describe the components of CMMI models and their relationships, discuss the process areas in the CMMI-DEV model, and locate relevant information in the model.

MOSAIC adds a certain flare to the Introduction to CMMI course by adding some special material. Additionally, our SEI-certified instructor provides great insight in a humorous manner, turning extremely dry material into meaningful information.

Course Topics Include:

  • Model-based process improvement
  • Overview of CMMI components
  • Institutionalization
  • Process areas of CMMI-DEV models
  • Structure of the continuous and staged representations

Attendance Requirements: Since this is a SEI certificate course, participants must be present for the entire course in order to get a certificate and be registered with the SEI. Participants that successfully complete the training may also receive 2.5 Continuing Education Units (the equivalent of 25 Professional Education Units for PMP certification) from Carnegie Mellon University.
